Come and join us on this beautiful sewing retreat to transition into the autumn and winter months.
Norwich Sewcials invites you to join us at the beautiful location of Barnham Broom for a 3-day sewing retreat in the heart of the Norfolk countryside.
The Venue
We are hosting this Retreat in the Kimberley Suite. Your sewing room for the weekend is big and bright with balcony views over the rolling greens of Barnham Broom. Perfect for sewing in great tranquil surroundings and in good company.
Whilst on the sewing retreat you have FULL access to all facilities on site. This includes the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. These will also be open to you anytime before Check-In at 3pm on the Friday. Should you wish, there are also virtual and in-person fitness classes and yoga sessions for your participation. Golf is also open to you if you desire!
Barnham Broom also hosts the Brasserie Lounge, a beautiful bar to chat and relax and possibly indulge in their Specialty G&T Menu. You may also wish to attend the Sports Bar, a more informal atmosphere with leafy terrace.
The Accommodation
Retreat attendees will be staying in a 4* standard room, with King Size double bed, en-suite facilities, bath and shower and toiletries. The rooms come with Wi-fi, TV, air-conditioning, fridge, safe and the all-important tea and coffee making facilities. The perfect place to rest after a hard day stitching.
The Food
We’ve got you covered when it comes to food, and the retreat is FULL BOARD.
Your stay includes full breakfast provision in the hotel lounge, conveniently located next to the sewing room! Tea, coffee and refreshments will be available at all times in the sewing room as attendees can help themselves. We shall be having a mid-morning snack followed by a 2 course buffet lunch on both Saturday and Sunday. In the afternoon there is a healthy snack and afternoon tea available to keep your energy up! Evening meals will be served in the Brasserie dining room and there is a beautiful choice of fresh local produce on offer.
Should you have any dietary needs please do let us know and these can be catered for.
The Sewing
The retreat is an opportunity for you to create whatever you feel with professional assistance on hand should you need it. Pippa has over 30 years experiences as a professioanl seamstress and can help with all your sewing questions.
Work at your own pace and go with the flow. Beginners are welcome although some experience in sewing will be necessary as this is not a taught course, although Emma can sit with you for any beginner assistance needed.
You’ll need to bring your own sewing machine, supplies and kit (although should you need to borrow a machine, do let us know when booking). An overlocker and ironing boards will be provided for use during the weekend.
The Weekend
Retreat attendees have full use of the on-site facilities. Check-in for rooms will be available from 3pm whereupon you can choose your evening meal. Come and join us at 4pm to set up your machines and equipment in the sewing room.
We will be officially meeting in the Brasserie Lounge at 6pm where we will treat you to a welcome drink! (Although we can't promise Emma and Pippa won't be in there before that...)
The sewing room will then be available after dinner aswell for any night owls.
Attendees then have use of the sewing room for the full weekend before we vacate the Kimberley Suite at 5pm on the Sunday.

Price
£520 per card-holder member (£560 per non-cardholder member)
This includes all meals, accommodation, use of facilities and equipment at the 4* Barnham Broom Resort
A non-refundable deposit of £200 is payable upon booking to reserve your place. (Although you may transfer your place to someone else).
The remainder of the payment shall be due by 30 September 2024.
Staggered payments can be made at any point up until the due date making monthly payments possible and spreading the cost.

Terms and Conditions
In the event that you cannot make the retreat for any reason, including for example, but not limited to, Covid19, unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for booking deposits. You may of course transfer your booking to another person however please do provide us with the new persons details. Do check with us as we may have someone on the waiting list who could take your place.
Whilst every care is being taken to ensure safety and security, Norwich Sewcials cannot be held liable for any for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages and unforeseen cancellation. We would suggest that personal/travel insurance is taken out. Attendees are responsible for the safety of their own equipment.
Norwich Sewcials reserves the right to cancel or postpone this event due to any reason beyond our control such as, but not limited to, illness or Covid-19
Participants must be over 16 years of age.
The retreat is a non-smoking venue and penalties will be incurred for smoking indoors. Smoking permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
