The Lingerie Course
Your teacher Pippa has over 30 years’ experience as a professional seamstress and will guide you from start to finish on how to put together your own beautiful handmade bra.
During this two-day weekend course, you will learn the construction techniques to make yourself a choice of the Willowdale Bra by Cashmerette, or the Black Beauty Bra by Emerald Erin.
The Black Beauty is a pretty, medium coverage balconette bra with underwire with size ranges from Band 28-40 and cup sizes B-G.
The Willowdale Bra is a full cup and frame underwire bra with size ranges from Band 28-54 and cup sizes C-J.
You will receive a copy of your chosen pattern within your size and an emailed PDF of the full pattern to keep. A full kit and underwires will also be provided so you have everything you need.
The course will be run from 09:30am – 4:30pm on both Saturday 24th June and Sunday 25th June with the option of an overnight stay on Saturday night including meals and spa facilities.
The course is suitable for advanced beginners as you will need to know how to use your sewing machine. All you need to bring is a basic sewing kit and a sewing machine however we have 2 available to borrow if needed, just let us know when booking.
The Venue
We are hosting this workshop in the Kimberley Suite. A private sewing room for the weekend. It is big and bright with balcony views over the rolling greens of Barnham Broom. Perfect for sewing in great tranquil surroundings and in good company.
For those opting for the overnight stay, you will have FULL access to all facilities on site. This includes the gym, swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. Should you wish, there are also virtual and in-person fitness classes and yoga sessions for your participation. Golf is also open to you if you desire!
The Accommodation
Weekend attendees opting for an overnight stay will be in a 4* standard room, with King Size double bed, en-suite facilities, bath and shower and toiletries. The rooms come with Wi-fi, TV, air-conditioning, fridge, safe and the all-important tea and coffee making facilities. The perfect place to rest after a hard day learning.
The Food
For the duration of the weekend all attendees will be treated to arrival refreshments and pastries, a mid-morning coffee break and snack, two course buffet lunch and an afternoon tea to keep your energy levels up! All dietary needs can be catered for.
For those opting to stay over you will also receive a three-course evening meal and full breakfast provision. (We’ve tried it and trust us, it’s delicious!)

£380 per card-holder member (£400 per non-cardholder member) for non-residential attendance

A non-refundable deposit of £175 is payable upon booking to reserve your place. (Although you may transfer your place to someone else).
The remainder of the payment shall be due by 1st June 2023. Staggered payments can be made at any point up until the due date making monthly payments possible and spreading the cost.

Terms and Conditions
In the event that you cannot make the retreat for any reason, including for example, but not limited to, Covid19, unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for booking deposits. You may of course transfer your booking to another person however please do provide us with the new persons details. Do check with us as we may have someone on the waiting list who could take your place.
Whilst every care is being taken to ensure safety and security, Norwich Sewcials cannot be held liable for any for any loss or other damages including but not limited to special, incidental, consequential, or any other damages and unforeseen cancellation. We would suggest that personal/travel insurance is taken out. Attendees are responsible for the safety of their own equipment.
Norwich Sewcials reserves the right to cancel or postpone this event due to any reason beyond our control such as, but not limited to, illness or Covid-19
Participants must be over 16 years of age.
The retreat is a non-smoking venue and penalties will be incurred for smoking indoors. Smoking permitted in designated outdoor areas only.
