Let’s welcome in the Spring and get together with those sewing machines!
With the seasons changing, come together and create in good company - sewing for Spring or making all things - it's up to you!
All welcome as usual, drinks and tuition on hand - please the continued change of venue!
We have Poringland Community Centre booked from 10:30am - 3:30pm to enjoy the luxury of hours of sewing, chatting and creating.
We have had to raise our prices very slightly in line with the increased hire charges and rates which we hope you can understand and we hope does not put you off joining us. We did think long and hard about this however to make it viable it had to be done.
The cost is £35 for non-members and £30 for card-holder members
(5 hours sewing, tuition on hand and all the drinks and cake you fancy!)
Whatever you fancy making come and join us with drinks, tuition and good company on hand...
We'll be hosting the fabric and pattern swap as normal and If you would like to bring all your unwanted sewing/crafting goodies - please do feel free.
(Please note anything in the stash swap is a free for all - people can leave/take as much as they like so be sure you're happy to donate your items!)
You can also bring any unwanted Me-made items you may like to donate! We’ll pop a rail our for clothes swaps however if they don’t go at the end of the day we do kindly ask you take them home again.
Pippa (the expert) and Emma (the assistant) will be on hand for help and advice and if there are any techniques you would like demonstrating just let us know!
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided
You will need to bring:
- Your own sewing machine and possibly an extension cable just in case (if you would like to borrow a sewing machine please let us know in the form when booking)
- Mug (optional)
- Sense of humour
- Lunch - but we’ll have biccies and cake provided :)
There are a couple of tables for cutting out however we would recommend that you come with your pattern pieces pre-cut so you get a chance to actually make something and have room to manoeuvre!
Substantial free parking, toilets, changing rooms, kitchen facilities, and disabled facilities and access and is Covid compliant.
(Please note tickets are non-refundable unless we can re-sell your place with adequate notice of cancellation. Tickets may be transferred to another person however please provide those details to Norwich Sewcials.)
