Let’s welcome in the New Year together and dust off those sewing machines!
Whether you want to get some UFOs out of the way (Unfinished Objects) or start something fresh for the new season come and join us. All levels are welcome so if you are just wanting to try out sewing give it a go.
This time we’re in Poringland Community Centre from 10:30am - 3:30pm to enjoy the luxury of hours of sewing, chatting and creating.
Whatever you fancy making come and join us with drinks, tuition and good company on hand...
For now our 2023 prices will remain the same to help everyone out:
£30 for non-cardholder members
£25 for card holder members (priority booking email coming out end of December)
We'll be hosting the fabric and pattern swap as normal and If you would like to bring all your unwanted sewing/crafting goodies - please do - one mans trash is another mans treasure and all that! (Please note anything in the stash swap is a free for all - people can leave/take as much as they like so be sure you're happy to donate your items!)
Pippa (the expert) and Emma (the assistant) will be on hand for help and advice and if there are any techniques you would like demonstrating just let us know!
Tea, coffee and snacks will be provided
You will need to bring:
- Your own sewing machine and possibly an extension cable just in case (if you would like to borrow a sewing machine please let us know in the form when booking)
- Mug (optional)
- Sense of humour
- Lunch - but we’ll have biccies and cake provided :)
There are a couple of tables for cutting out however we would recommend that you come with your pattern pieces pre-cut so you get a chance to actually make something and have room to manoeuvre!
Substantial free parking, toilets, changing rooms, kitchen facilities, and disabled facilities and access and is Covid compliant.
(Please note tickets are non-refundable unless we can re-sell your place with adequate notice of cancellation. Tickets may be transferred to another person however please provide those details to Norwich Sewcials.)
